This is how we unlock capital efficiency while maintaining the security that made Bitcoin valuable in the first place.
Our Vision
Bitcoin was built to be a store of value. Perfect at that. But we realized something: all of Bitcoin's liquidity is sitting on the sidelines while the rest of DeFi moves forward. Bitcoin holders want to earn yield, to participate, to make their capital work. They just never had the infrastructure to do it safely. The numbers tell the story. Bitcoin DeFi grew 2,000 percent in 2024. This isn't hype. This is a real movement. Bitcoin holders are looking for access to DeFi everywhere. We just built the right place for it to happen.
The Problem
Bitcoin L2s tried to solve this. Lightning is great for payments, but DeFi requires more than speed, it requires programmability. Stacks and Rootstock added smart contracts, but their security models are weaker. The fundamental issue is that Bitcoin's base layer was intentionally restricted. It prioritizes decentralization and security over flexibility. That's why Bitcoin is Bitcoin. But that also means Bitcoin isn't meant to be an execution layer for complex finance.
Why We Chose Sui
We could have tried to force DeFi onto Bitcoin. Instead, we asked a better question: where should Bitcoin DeFi actually live? The answer is where DeFi thrives. Sui.
